Thankyou for your expression in joining the Sporting Car Club! From classic motoring, to vintage and modern, hill climbing, motorsport and other disciplines, the Sporting Car Club has something for everyone. Members can compete at our world renown Collingrove Hillclimb in the heart of the Barossa Valley, or simply join to register your car for historic registration.

The Sporting Car Club of South Australia (SCCSA) was founded in 1934, making it the second oldest continually running veteran car club in the world.

Our members have one thing in common – we all love and celebrate everything automotive. From veteran, classic and modern, to now electric and hybrid, we share our passion on and off the track.

The Sporting Car Club has been the backbone of South Australian motorsport for nearly a century. From the earliest Grand Prix to the world-class bitumen of today, the club has fostered a community of enthusiasts, engineers, and racers.

The culture of the SCCSA is defined by a unique blend of competitive grit and a deep, multi-generational social bond. The club operates less like a formal institution and more like a massive, extended family of enthusiasts.

The club’s enthusiast culture extends far beyond the steering wheel. Membership is a lifestyle. The club hosts events on and off track, including community grand prix revivals in regional centres, motorsport events at tracks including Mallala, The Bend and Collingrove, whilst our membership base varies from Australian muscle car owners, right through to JDM custom street show cars. Beyond that, our members also own classic motorcycles and even trucks.

You’ll find members deep in vigorous debate over gear ratios or historical provenance. This isn’t just small talk; it’s a profound intellectual and emotional investment in automotive culture.

Whether it’s the obsessive search for a period-correct bolt for a 1920s tourer or the millisecond shaved off a lap time, members are driven by a relentless desire to improve, preserve, and perform.
